The young musicians are students at Kimichi School Birmingham, many of whom have been playing for only a year or two.  They have rehearsed hard, travelled a long way, and they are thrillingly excited and extraordinarily nervous. The warmth of your applause will mean everything to them. Joining them are an accomplished string trio, who will demonstrate what these instruments can do in the hands of someone who has spent a lifetime in their company.  The contrast between the young players and the adults is to be embraced – it is the whole point.  This is music as a journey, and tonight you see the road all the way from the beginning.
