Harvest Festival at St Paul’s
On Sunday, 1st October, the Rev’d Annette Miller led the annual Harvest Festival Service at St Paul’s.
Afterwards the congregation gathered in the social area to enjoy a delicious meal served by the Old School Kitchen, which was followed by a range of mouth-watering desserts supplied by members. A general knowledge quiz with a harvest theme kept everyone talking!
The church was beautifully decorated, and monetary donations were given to the Bishop’s Harvest Appeal – ‘A fair share – a harvest of justice and peace’, for disadvantaged women and families in Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territories and in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
In addition a special harvest delivery was taken to the Barrow Foodbank.
