Reading Matthew’s Gospel together
I find a quiet place, become present to the Lord and ask the grace to be open and receptive.
I read the passage slowly, noticing words or phrases which catch my attention. I ask: What does this passage say to my head? (What do I think about?)
I read the passage again:
I ask: What does this passage say to my heart? (How am I drawn to / away from the Lord? Or others?)
I read the passage again:
I ask: What does this passage say to my hands? (What will I do now?)
I speak to the Lord about what I have heard….
I conclude with the Lord`s Prayer.
