A Christmas gathering at the Fell

Great Tom is Cast

We stamped our feet, clapped our hands and sang gustily when the Sands Band brought their Christmas ceillidh  music to Fell Church in December. David told us the origins of some of the wassail songs and we learned how different areas of the country have their own versions of Christmas  carols. We joined in the choruses but really outdid ourselves singing Great Tom is Cast,  a three part round about the bells of Christ Chu7rch, Oxford.

Delicious scones and cream cakes were served afterwards,  a wonderful beginning to the season of goodwill. Thanks to the band and to Pauline for organising it all.
