Farewells at Grange Primary School

It was a busy week at the end of the Summer term at our Primary School, – and a bittersweet one!

On the Thursday afternoon at school tributes were paid to Phillipa Summers as she retires after 11 years as headteacher   The school choir performed a special song that had been composed about her, as pictures were shown on screen.  The following day a ‘leaving’ service was held in St Paul’s for the year 6 pupils who now go on to secondary school in September.  Again, tributes were paid to them, prizes presented, and token gifts presented from the church.

The service was led by the  Vicar, Father David to the children) and a short address given by the Rev’d Jo Rand. A third farewell was given  to her as she is also moving on from the town where she has served as the Methodist Minister for the past 11 years.
