Parish Magazine for April 2026

The new magazine has now been published for April.

All the usual items are included, eg services rota, registers, dates for  your diary, and rainfall figures.

Page 6 pays tribute to Charles Edmondson, our church organist and Director of Music for the past 13 years, who died suddenly this month.  He will be very much missed.

News from the Diocese includes information about the appointment of the new Bishop of Penrith, a request for prayers for our new Archbishop of Canterbury, and details of a new Pilgrim Way in our area devised by the Kent Estuary Mission Community in South Lakes.

There is a report – with photographs – of the latest ‘Fun and Friendship’ afternoon at the Primary School.

The Ecochurch contribution gives us 7 tips for wasting less energy, and there is a photo of the new bug house in the church garden which has been designed by the schoolchildren.

There is also an article about St Mark, the evangelist, whose feast day we celebrate on 25th April.
